Within the framework of the completion status for its programs in educating farmers about their rights to a decent life and organization in order to defend their interests and self-determination social – The Land Center for Human Rights held meetings with a number of villages on Friday, 8/04/2011 in El Behira in order to acknowledge the peasants about their rights to organize and form trade unions and their role in the treatment of various problems experienced by Egyptian farmers.
The first meeting was attended by large numbers of farmers who suffer from injustice and oppression in Al Ashraf El-Baroudi Village, El Rahmaniya province, Behiera as a result of looting a defendant ownership of their land under the provisions of a final against them, and implementation of mandatory and arrested a number of them to intimidate and detain in police stations for several weeks without a clue.

The event was the last tractor in the village of Abu Homos governorate center lake – and the meeting discussed the conditions of farmers and how to encourage them to claim their rights through the formation of independent trade union in order to improve their living conditions, economic and social campaigns to recover their rights and protect their property looted.
The attendees agreed on the need to claim their rights for themselves through independent trade unions and called for shifting staff bodies corrupt, such as reform and religious endowments and stressed their right to own agricultural land and called for clearing the country of those who had given the defendant property thieves of land under the former regime of investors thieves who looted the country.
In the end, said dozens of participants that the peasants are the only category where there is no representation or speak in their name did not have a union or party whose issues and looking to them for practical solutions to their problems, so there is a need to support the trade unions for farmers independent of the improvement of life in the countryside and to ensure good Agriculture and decent living.
The participants agreed in the three villages on the need to form a trade association representing the rights of peasants and defend their interests and prosecuted corrupt the agriculture sector private sector seed and fertilizer, pesticides, and work on the prison director of the Bank of Development and Agricultural Credit, who looted the money and the rights of peasants and ill-treatment and offered freedom to incarceration injustice, aggression and violation of the law and international covenants.
